Envato is the Australian company behind Envato Elements, a subscription platform that brings together digital assets and generative AI tools for creative, marketing and development teams.

Founded in 2006 in Sydney by Collis Ta'eed, Cyan Ta'eed and Jun Rung, Envato operates as Envato Pty Ltd and is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with offices in Guadalajara, Mexico. Since July 2024 it has been part of the Shutterstock group, listed on the NYSE under the ticker SSTK, and continues to run its brand, products and author community independently.

The Envato Elements library exceeds 29 million assets, according to Envato's official documentation, delivered in native formats for Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Figma, Canva, WordPress and Elementor. The same subscription embeds AI generators for image, video, music, voice and mockup, while the Enterprise tier adds SSO via SAML with Okta, Google or Azure, broadcast rights and a perpetual worldwide license.

Envato's main product lines are:

• Envato Elements — per-seat subscription with unlimited downloads of video, music, photos, fonts, templates and WordPress themes, plus recurring generative AI credits.
• Envato Market — a set of pay-per-item marketplaces, with a Regular or Extended license tied to a single end product.
• ThemeForest — themes and templates for WordPress, Shopify, HTML and other web platforms, with six months of renewable item support.
• CodeCanyon — scripts, plugins and code components for PHP, JavaScript, WordPress and mobile applications.
• VideoHive and AudioJungle — motion graphics projects, stock footage and licensed soundtracks for audiovisual production.
• GraphicRiver, PhotoDune and 3DOcean — vector graphics, typography, stock photography and three-dimensional models ready for composition.
• Placeit by Envato — browser-based editor for generating mockups, logos and design assets.
• Mixkit and Envato Tuts+ — a free asset library and a hub of tutorials and courses maintained by Envato.

According to Shutterstock's official acquisition announcement, Envato added 650,000 subscribers to the group. Envato Elements licensing is commercial and project-based: each download registers a license for one specific project, and uses licensed while the subscription is active remain valid permanently, even after the agreement ends.
