What is PrizmDoc Viewer?

PrizmDoc is a set of HTTP services and JavaScript browser code that facilitates the inclusion and visualization, writing, editing, conversion, and other document processing services on your website or applications, using only standard HTML5 technologies. Enabling users to view various types of documents, including Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, AutoCAD, and many other types of documents and images without the need to install native applications.

OCR

PrizmDoc provides the ability to perform optical character recognition (OCR) to convert an unsearchable PDF or TIFF into a new visually identical PDF that supports full-text search. This will allow you to search, select and copy the text in the resulting PDF document.

Microsoft Office conversion

The Microsoft Office Conversion service provides native rendering of Microsoft Office documents in the PrizmDoc Viewer, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This enhanced rendering provides a solution for companies that require native processing of Microsoft Office documents. What does that mean? Native rendering presents the document as displayed in the original authoring application, providing a true, accurate, and intentional representation of the original file, including backgrounds, font spacing, and graphics.

Document comparison

Document comparison allows you to cross-reference new versions of a Microsoft Word document against previous versions so that you have better visualization of changes, including formatting modifications such as font or spacing changes, grammatical changes, and adding or omission of words, phrases, clauses, and paragraphs. Document Comparison uses PrizmDoc's Native Microsoft Office feature.
