What is Shelter Backup and Restore?
Shelter Backup and Restore are theimage-based backup software tools driving Shelter's business continuity solutions. An initial snapshot of the server is created and then recaptures the data, operating system, applications, and settings of a protected machine at regular intervals.
Granular recovery points enable fine-grained RPOs that meet the needs of demanding customers. Backup images are stored locally on the on-premises BDR device for short RTOs and quick recovery, and offsite in Shelter Backup and Restore for site-wide disaster recovery. Clients have several recovery options in the event of a server failure or disaster. When disaster strikes, downtime is measured in minutes or hours, not days.
