VUMA-network
VUMA-network is an interactive network simulation program that is used for the simulation of steady state environmental conditions found in underground mines and allows simultaneous simulation of airflow, thermodynamic air behavior, gases and dust emissions.
What is VUMA-network?
VUMA-network is an interactive network simulation program that is used for the simulation of steady state environmental conditions found in underground mines and allows simultaneous simulation of:
- Airflow
- Thermodynamic air behavior
- Gases (including radon)
- Dust emissions
Applications that include in VUMA-network:
- Planning and design of ventilation systems
- Check environmental performance parameters
- Execution of hypothetical scenarios and trade-offs
- Energy optimization
- Dust/gas tracking in an underground mine
- Fault detection and troubleshooting
- Tracking contaminants resulting from an explosion
- Determine the explosion elimination time
- Fire module
- Considers the combustion effect of fire on the network, i.e. ventilation flow rotation
- Simulates the success of possible firefighting scenarios
- Simulates existing fire control measures, e.g. doors installed to control a conveyor belt fire
Currently supported languages:
- English
- Spanish
