3D ProAnimator Standalone specializes in Motion Graphics, so titles, logos, and other types of animation are faster to create than other 3D programs. Since it's not that complicated, the software is also easier to learn and faster to use.
Most impressive is a near-real-time ray trace rendering engine, the fastest on the market for moving graphics. This means you get true reflections and beautiful images in record time.
Real-Time 3D Realization
Zaxwerks has developed a new rendering engine called the Reactor Rendering System. It is a hybrid GPU/CPU system that will do GL and Ray Tracing rendering. It uses the latest advances in rendering technology to deliver a high-quality final rendering. Can you slow it down? Surely you can. It depends on what you throw at it.
Real-Time Camera Focus with Depth of Field
3D ProAnimator Standalone allows you to set what's in focus and then move the focus distance as an animated value. This gives you the ability to highlight a subject by focusing attention on the part that matters and then shifting the focus to highlight another subject. It's a truly cinematic look reserved for special occasions. The best part is that it takes little additional rendering time.
Snapshot (Automatic Object Duplication)
Instantiating, in simpler terms, is the duplication of objects. However, it duplicates objects in an incredibly fast way and makes it easy to fill a scene with hundreds or thousands of objects while still keeping rendering speed nice and fast. You can create objects made of a piece, such as hearts or stars. You can create objects made of various pieces, such as houses or cars. You can expose words or logos and you can even mix all these types of objects together!
Object Distribution
There are many distribution styles that make it easy to create environments, backgrounds, and objects composed of other objects. Simple distributions are like arranging objects into lines, rings, or grids.
There are many uses for simple distributions like this. But the cool part comes when you can distribute objects in the form of other objects, such as logos or other 3D models. The flexibility of 3D ProAnimator Standalone allows you to experiment simply and sophisticatedly, in such an easy and fast way, that you don't limit your designs based on the amount of time it takes to see if something will work. You can try, try, and get where you want to go faster, with fewer steps.
Image-Based Lighting
Image-Based Lighting, or IBL, is a way to illuminate your entire scene using just one image. All you have to do to get fully realistic lighting is to choose an image of the environment and the 3D ProAnimator Standalone takes care of the rest for you. There is no need to be a lighting expert.
Real-Time Environment Occlusion
The formal name is Ambient Occlusion, but you can think of it as a corner darkening. This feature darkens the corners and crevices of 3D objects in a way that gives the effect of bounce lighting, but without the huge rendering being achieved. This makes your objects much more realistic, and thankfully we've figured out how to add Ambient Occlusion into production at real-time speeds.
Procedural Randomization
Randomness works hand in hand with instantiation and distribution capabilities. Instantiation creates hundreds of objects and distribution organizes them into shapes and patterns, but what happens when the patterns are a bit regular? You randomize them.
These three features together are fantastic for populating your scene with lots of "stuff." Sometimes you just want to fill the board with stuff and you're not too particular about the positives of where that is. Even if your objects are being distributed and randomized, you can always go in and adjust an individual object so that it's in the right place.
Normal Mapping
This means that when you buy the 3D ProAnimator Standalone, you also get over 200 realistic materials with normal maps, reflection maps, specular maps, transparency maps and fuzzy maps.
We'll still support impact maps so all your old textures are safe, but if you know how to build, buy, or download materials with normal maps, you can add luxurious-looking textures to your everyday work.
