What's new in 4MCAD 19:

Working with files

  • The 2018 .dwg files are opened and converted to files .dwg the 2013 release.
  • Export to a 3D file .pdf
  • Exporting to a .pdf 2D file now includes new compression modes, image clipping, and gradient hatches.
  • For .pdf, .dwg, and .dgn, the new support includes monochrome, fading, background color adjustment, and display properties.
  • Exporting to a .bmp now supports visual styles.
  • Search for files by using the Open command by clicking Tools> Find.
  • There are more options available for attaching point cloud files using the Point Cloud Underlay command.

Performance improvements

  • Increased performance when working with many external references.
  • Increased performance in PDF creation and reduced file size and .pdf resulting
  • Increased selection performance in drawings with complex blocks.
  • Higher panoramization and zoom speed for very large drawing files.
  • The new CACHEFILES will externally store layout data to improve layout change performance and memory usage.

Text

  • New multiline text editor allows users to edit multiline text in place.
  • New Field command allows users to create a field as multiline text
  • The in-place Multiline Text editor now supports line spacing, lists, and paragraph justification.
  • Use the new Explode Text command to split multiline text and single-line text into polylines.
  • The new Auto Number command adds numbering to text, multiline text, multileaders, or block attributes

Hatches

  • New dialog interface for the Hatch boundary command.
  • The HATCHTOBACK command moves the hatches to the back of the drawing order.

User interface

  • Show drawings on individual tabs in the 4MCAD main window. Use the Options command, click the View tab, and then click MDI Options to specify settings for the drawing tabs.
  • Easily save workspaces by clicking Workspaces in the status bar and choosing Save Current As.
  • The Drawing Settings command has improved the UI that uses tabs instead of previously used drop-down lists.
  • Add the command line version -MENUUNLOAD.

Selecting and modifying groups

  • The new Explode Attributes command ungroups blocks, creating separate groups for each element and converting attributes to text.
  • The new Get Selection command selects all groups in a drawing that corresponds to the layer of a selected group and the type of which you select.

Working with groups

  • New dialog box for REFEDIT command and the new -REFEDIT command
  • New dialog box for the ARRAY command and the new -ARRAY command.
  • New TEXTTOFRONT command moves text, dimensions, and leaders forward from other groups

Viewing and rendering drawings

  • New VPMAX and VPMIN commands, allowing users to maximize and minimize viewports.

More features

  • Select groups by creating filters using the Filter command.
  • New filter option for the -LAYER command.
  • When using the Print command, you can select print transparency.
  • The Properties panel now supports more additional groups and properties, such as light category and light properties, material properties, etc.
  • Group docking for underlays can now be accessed using the Options command.
  • The new BCOUNT command counts the number of blocks in a selection set.
  • New IMAGEFRAMEMODE command controls whether image frames are visible and printed.
  • New commands from the command line version: -MENU and -MENULOAD.

  • 4MCAD19 8.3 uses Teigha version 4.2.0 from the Open Design Alliance.
  • Major LISP upgrade (VL, VLA, VLAX functions).
  • .NET API updated with new functions
  • .NET plugins can now be loaded automatically.
