Acoustica is the perfect software application for editing, mastering, and restoring audio on your Mac and PC.
Acoustica is the perfect software application for editing, mastering, and restoring audio on your Mac and PC. The app is available in premium and standard editions. Premium edition offers advanced features such as spectral editing with powerful retouch algorithms and multichannel support to surround. Award-winning plug-ins such as Equalize, Verberate, and Restoration Suite are included. The new Transfer plug-in makes it easy to transfer audio between Pro Tools and Acoustica by expanding Pro Tools with an extensive set of tools for audio restoration and processing.
Acoustica Premium also features new plug-ins based on internal processing tools, but with significant improvements in audio quality, workflow and versatility. Dynamics is a compressor and expander combined with flexible side chain filtering, and Limit is a brick wall limiter. Both tools have sophisticated algorithms with adjustable prediction for maximum transparency and up to four times oversampling. Multiband Dynamics is a multi-band version of Dynamics with separate four-band processing and adjustable cross-over frequencies and filter filters. The Dither plug-in offers dither with new and flexible noise modeling options.
The Standard edition offers most of these tools as built-in processors in Acoustica, but they cannot be used as plug-ins in other applications. Both editions offer EBU R 128 and ITU-R BS.1770 compliant measurement and standardization.
Better audio quality
Acoustica supports cutting-edge audio resolutions up to 32 bits and sampling rates up to 384 kHz, ensuring that all your work is delivered to the highest quality. Acoustica Premium also supports multichannel audio recording and editing, such as 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound.
Audio restore
Built-in audio restore tools help you get the most out of recordings that are damaged by background noise, clicks, snaps, cuts, or lack of high-frequency content. The Premium edition contains the same set of professional tools as restoration suite.
Spectral Editing (Premium only)
Spectral editing mode allows for accurate restore jobs because processing can be limited to isolated regions in time and frequency. Selection tools such as brush, free hand or magic wand are available. The retouch tool removes noise based on a freely selectable reference from the surrounding audio.
Multitrack editing
Mix audio from different tracks in real time, insert audio effects, or easily create cross-fades in cross-track sessions. You can repeat or stretch time clips directly from the multitrack timeline and automate volume, offset, and send levels.
Processing tools, chains and plug-ins
High-quality processing tools, ranging from a new set of dynamic processing tools to EQ, and effects such as reverb and chorus are integrated, along with sample rate conversion, time elongation, and pitch change. You can create audio processor strings and apply or store them for later use. A powerful batch processor is included and the VST, VST3, and AU plug-ins (Mac only) are supported.
Analysis tools
Analysis tools such as spectrum analysis, spectrogram and wavelet are available. Real-time analyzers visualize their audio output (volume, level, spectral and phase correlation) of EBU R-128.
