What is Active WebCam?

Active WebCam software captures images of up to 30 frames per second from any video device, including USB, Web cameras, TV cards, camcorder, and network IP cameras. This camera software performs simultaneous recording and transmission from an unlimited number of cameras.

Live audio and video streaming

You can stream live audio and video using the following methods:

• Stream video and audio through the web server - you can watch videos from the surveillance computer, even if this computer is completely protected by firewall. In addition, this service offers high frame rate transmission to the unlimited auditorium because the transmission is performed from the web server that has high-speed broadband connection.
• HTTP Server - Web camera software runs the own HTTP server that all users, connected to your computer, can watch your cameras and play recorded video files.
• FTP Upload - the program sends images to your site using the FTP protocol. Your viewers direct Internet browsers to your site and watch captured videos. The captured video can be viewed using any Internet browser.

Monitor your home or office while away

Your camera can be used as a Surveillance System to watch your home, office, children, pets or anything else. The program has a motion detection feature, which can perform multiple tasks when it fires. When the program detects movement in the monitored area, it can sound an alarm, send SMS, send images captured by email, start transmission or record activity. The video can be recorded in AVI or MPEG formats. The recorded video can be played over the Internet.

Adjust captured images

The program has features to add text captions, image overlays, and timestamps to each video frame. You can shrink, zoom in, and rotate captured images. The image can be cropped so that the only selected part of a captured image is transmitted.

Record and play simultaneously

You can use Active WebCam to record full moving clips from your video and audio sources. The program has the following recording features: Live Recording, File Recording and the ability to create the File instantly. With Live Recording, the program constantly records audio and video content that allows you to pause, fast forward, and rewind live videos from the camera at any time. The file recording is performed by the user or as a scheduled task. Video and audio content is sent to a file on your hard drive.

Archive of Snapshots is a sequence of still images captured with a preset time interval. The recorded files can be password protected that all video and audio information is scrambled and the file can be played only with a valid password.
