What is Altair SimSolid?

By performing structural analysis on ALL-feature CAD assemblies in minutes, SimSolid is the revolutionary simulation technology for designers, engineers, and analysts. It eliminates geometry preparation and mesh: the two most time-consuming, more, error-prone, tasks performed in a conventional structural simulation. Multiple design scenarios can be simulated quickly in real-life conditions. Old CAD models, in any common format, can be used. SimSolid's tolerance to inaccurate geometry means that unlike simulation tools built into CAD, there is no need to simplify complex geometries before analyzing projects.

SimSolid supports all typical connections (screw/nut, welded, rivets, slip) and analysis of static, modal, linear thermal properties, as well as coupled, nonlinear and more complex transient dynamic effects. By providing the power of simulation to help with faster engineering decisions, it helps you develop quality products faster, to beat competitors in the market.

Why SimSolid?

Eliminate geometry simplification

SimSolid's unique technology completely eliminates simplification and geometry mesh: the two most time-consuming, specialized, and extensive, error-prone tasks done in traditional structural analysis.

Analyze large, complex assemblies

Designed to analyze complex parts or large assemblies that are not practical with traditional FEA, SimSolid excels in the face of uneven contact surfaces, with clearances and overlapping geometry.

Get results in seconds to minutes

SimSolid is fast, with solution times measured in seconds to minutes, typically on a standard PC, allowing you to compare multiple design scenarios quickly and accurately.
