What is AnyLogic?

AnyLogic simulation software is used in the following industries:

  • Supply networks
  • Railway logistics
  • manufacturing
  • mining
  • transport
  • Oil gas
  • Warehouse operations
  • Ports and terminals

Why simulation modeling?

Risk-free environment

Simulation modeling provides a safe way to test and explore different "what if" scenarios. Make the right decision before making changes in the real world.

Deal with uncertainty

Uncertainty in the time and outcome of operations can be easily represented in simulation models, which allows you to measure risks and find more robust solutions.

Save time and money

Virtual experiments with simulation models are cheaper and take less than experiments with real assets

Vision on dynamics

Unlike spreadsheet-based or solver-based analyses, simulation modeling allows you to observe system behavior over time at any level of detail. For example, you can check the storage space usage of the warehouse on any date.

visualization

Simulation models can be animated in 2D/3D, allowing concepts and ideas to be more easily verified, communicated, and understood.

Higher accuracy

A simulation model can capture much more detail than an analytical model, which provides greater accuracy and more accurate prediction.

Why AnyLogic simulation software?

Multi-method simulation modeling

Develop simulation models using the three modern methods:

  • Discrete event
  • Agent-based
  • System Dynamics

The three methods can be used in any combination, with software, to simulate business systems of any complexity. In AnyLogic simulation software, you can use several visual modeling languages: process flowcharts, status charts, action charts, and inventory and flow diagrams.

AnyLogic was the first tool to introduce multi-method simulation modeling, and it still remains the only software that has this capability.

Animation and visualization

  • Convert flowcharts into interactive movies with spectacular 3D and 2D graphics.
  • Present your simulation models to stakeholders in a visually appealing and self-explanatory way.
  • Use the extensive set of graphical objects to view vehicles, teams, equipment, buildings, and other items and processes related to your business.
  • Import custom 3D models, images, CAD drawings, and shape files into your simulations.
  • Make your simulation models interactive by adding intuitive controls and navigation.
  • Turn your simulations into comprehensive management dashboards.

Industry-specific libraries

  • Process Modeling Library for generic processes or workflows.
  • Fluid Library to simulate bulk cargo and liquid transfer in sectors such as mining or oil and gas.
  • Railway library for rail transport, terminals and courtyards.
  • Pedestrian library for pedestrian flows in airports, stadiums, stations or shopping malls.
  • Road traffic library for handling cars, trucks and buses on roads, parking lots and factories.
  • Material handling library for manufacturing and warehouse processes.

GIS map integration

  • AnyLogic simulation software offers the unique ability to use GIS maps in your simulation models.
  • Maps can be applied to system models such as supply chains, logistics networks, and other cases where it is necessary to take into account locations, roads, routes, or regions.
  • Google Maps-style built-in search lets you easily find cities, streets, roads, hospitals, shops, and bus stops using map data. Search works when you create the template and when the model is running.
  • Simulation model elements can be placed on the map and moved along existing roads and routes based on actual spatial data.

Cloud simulation

AnyLogic is the only simulation modeling tool that offers a full range of cloud technologies, changing the way people run models.

Use any device to run your simulation model, including phones and tablets.

  • Deliver online simulation analytics to your customers with web dashboards.
  • Take advantage of high-performance cloud computing for complex simulation experiences.
  • Deliver simulation models in particular to your customers using secure web repository.
  • Share simulations publicly with the community and collaborate in the cloud.

Microsoft Windows 10, x64, Internet Explorer 11

Microsoft Windows 8, x64, Internet Explorer 11

Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, x64, Internet Explorer 11

Apple Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or later, Universal, Safari 9, or higher

SuSE Linux, x64 (with GTK + installed, libwebkitgtk-1.0-0, libudev, libssl 0.9.8 and newer), Firefox 24+

Ubuntu Linux 10.04 or higher, x64 (with GTK + installed, libwebkitgtk-1.0-0, libudev, libssl 0.9.8 and newer), Firefox 24+

Linux Mint 17 or higher, x64 (with GTK + installed, libwebkitgtk-1.0-0, libudev, libssl 0.9.8 and newer), Firefox 24+

hardware:

Installing AnyLogic requires 1.5 GB of free disk space.

4-8 GB of memory is recommended and a modern processor with at least 2 cores for optimal performance (more cores benefit from pedestrian modeling and multi-run experiments).

The mouse is usually preferable to touchpad for graphic editing.
