What is ArCADia-Reinforced concrete column?
ArCADia-REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN is a specific module of the ArCADia BIM system, based on the ideology of building information modeling (BIM). The application is designed for framework designers and is designed to provide maximum user support when developing reinforced concrete column drawings in CAD applications.
2D data
ArCADia-REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN is an object-based application that uses user-entered 2D data (in the form of visualizations and sections) to generate a 3D column reinforcement model that can be freely modified and that allows, for example, the new Sections to be created.
The reinforcement element designed with this application complies with the requirements of EN 1992-1-1 Eurocode 2.
The application allows the design to enter the reinforcement data manually and also captures this data directly from calculation applications: EuroFerroConcrete module of R3D3 3D Frame and R2D2 2D Frame, and Reinforced Concrete Columns PN-EN System Builder.
Features of the ArCADia-REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN program:
- The ability to create multiple columns within a single file.
- The ability to create a file by copying the finished columns from previously populated drawings or copying columns within the same file.
- The ability to project geometry and reinforcement of the element into two or four side primary views and arbitrary number of supposed column sections.
- Full control over a drawing and printing visibility of visualizations and sections, along with their elements, and the ability to switch between them while working with the model.
- Movement not limited and addition of new column sections.
Formats:
- The ability to create almost any shape of a column section: rectangular, round, angled, T-shaped, C-shaped, Z-shaped, and I-shaped together with adjacent elements in the top section of a column: rails and top-level column or rails to reach its maximum.
- In the case of rectangular section columns, support for automatic creation of longitudinal reinforcement with the option of automatic bending on the rails or by inserting it into the upper-level column.
Automatic creation of cross-reinforcing:
- Automatic creation of cross-sectional column reinforcement in the form of two- and four-legged stirrups, distributed in user-defined areas.
- Automatic creation of the typical cross reinforcement column for other section shapes.
- Change of direction of the four-legged stirrup within the column section.
- The reinforcement sizing available in units of mm or cm, with adjustable accuracy.
- The required bending radii of the rebas are automatically taken into account.
- The anchorage lengths of the longitudinal reinforcements are automatically taken into account when they are folded into the rails and inserted into the upper-level column in the case of rectangular and round columns.
- The coverage of the longitudinal and transverse reinforcement being distributed within the reinforced element is automatically taken into account.
- The ability to design freeform rebas.
- The shape and properties of the rebar are editable.
- The editing tools allow reinforcement to be freely located within the Views and Section of the element.
- Automatic extraction of bars with their dimensions and descriptions (rebar details).
- Rebar descriptions can be placed anywhere within the Views and Sections of elements.
- Automated and continuous numbering of each rebar within the single file.
- Column sizing geometry can be modified freely.
- Automatic creation and modification of the reinforcing steel list based on the reinforcement model created (The list that covers the single element or the entire drawing).
- Reinforced automatic column generation model based on calculations performed in the EuroFerroConcrete module of model R3D3 3D Frame and R2D2 2D Frame Application and in the reinforced concrete column PN-EN Builder Application Module.
- 3D view of the generated column reinforcement model.
