With the use of ARCHIVE ACCELERATOR IMPORT has developed a snap-in mechanism to allow the import of data from almost any source. Vault can be used to immediately start importing data from a data source, or it can import data on a schedule.
There is often data from other sources that needs to be imported into the Enterprise Vault, which cannot be done with the standard tools provided. With this feature of ARCHIVE ACCELERATOR IMPORT, Vault Solutions has developed a snap-in engine to allow you to import data from virtually any source.
The following fonts are currently supported, with more being developed with Archive Accelerator Import:
Archive Accelerator Import can be used to immediately start importing data from a data source, or it can import data on a schedule. It maintains chain of custody information about all imported items. It keeps track of what was imported to avoid reimporting the same data twice. It can be configured to automatically delete imported data after a certain period of time.
The importer can be used to bring data directly into the Enterprise Vault from third-party data ingestion products.
All imports are made through a Windows service and controlled through a Microsoft management console interface. SQL is used to track and record all imports. Items that fail to import are logged, and once the issue is resolved, they can be easily reprocessed.
Archive Accelerator Import is installed on the Enterprise Vault server and requires no additional hardware. Works with Enterprise Vault 8-12.
