The ASM 500 Family consists of a translator between the AutoCAD DXF file format and the Gerber photo plotter code. Also included is a reverse Gerber to DXF translator and a powerful Gerber viewer and plotter.
Three versions are available with different feature sets:
ASM 501W from ASM 500 Family
Includes DXF for Gerber, Gerber for DXF and GBRVU.
The ASM 501 is a powerful DXF to Gerber translator intended to help those who want to use AutoCAD (or other mechanical drawing programs) and need to create Gerber data for photoplotting.
Simple menus guide you step by step through the translation process. Special functions help assign blocks to flashes and configure drawing apertures from polyline widths automatically.
The powerful Gerber viewer, GBRVU displays up to 48 layers simultaneously and allows you to quickly check your Gerber data before submitting your plot job.
The ASM 501 produces the RS74D standard for conventional photoplotters and also the RS274X with built-in apertures for Gerber Scientific's Crescent line of photoplotters.
