What is AudioLabel Cover Maker?

AudioLabel Cover Maker helps you create and print labels for discs and cd, DVD, Blu-ray, and LightScribe cases. It's easy to use and includes powerful features to help you create professional labels. You can add images, photos, backgrounds with a simple drag and drop. Layout and quickly organize text using the smart text editor. Automatically import your CD information and fill in the label in a single step.

Automatically finds CD information

AudioLabel CD Label Maker can recognize most CDs and fill the label with one click. The Read CD feature finds information about the album (artist, title, and track list) by searching the Freedb Internet database or reading CD-TEXT from the disc. The Freedb database is huge and contains album information for most cDs purchased in stores. After the information is found, the text is automatically organized on the disc label, cover, and back cover. The Read CD feature can also read and label MP3 CDs using the id3 file tag and name.

Use any label paper mark

AudioLabel includes templates for most label paper brands, including Avery, CD Stomper, Data Becker, Memorex, Neato, PressIt, Staples, SureThing, and TDK. Regardless of your brand, AudioLabel templates are adjustable so that even non-standard label papers can be used. The Edit Dimensions dialog box (shown on the left) can be used to adjust the dimensions of an existing template or create a new custom template.

Direct Disc Printing

AudioLabel works with any direct disk printer, including Epson, Canon, and Hewlett Packard (HP). These printers can print directly to the surface of the disc without using label paper or adhesive labels. Direct disk printers use special inkjet printable discs that have a matte white coating on the surface. While inkjet printable discs can cost a little more than traditional discs, direct disk printing has a big cost advantage because you don't have stickers for purchase separately. Other advantages include a faster-step printing process that creates a thinner label that does not break or wrinkle over time.

Full image support

Easily add images, photos or backgrounds using the smart thumbnail viewer. The viewer supports many image formats and incorporates a simple drag-and-drop interface. Quickly explore images in any folder, or use the search function to scan existing images on your computer. AudioLabel CD Software also includes a cool art gallery that will help you get started right away. In addition to printing your label design, there are options to save your label as a high-resolution image to share with friends, import to other programs, or provide for commercial printers for high-volume production.

Automatically Organizes Label Text

Organizing the label text is easy using the "AutoFit" feature. This feature adjusts the font size and organizes the text so that it fits on the label. When typing or moving text, the AutoFit feature detects the edges of the label and wraps the text using the largest font size possible. There are several text wrapping options so that complex layouts can be done quickly. AutoFit is especially useful when adding a large track list to the disc label. Text formatting options can also be set manually (font, size, color, and alignment) so that there are endless design possibilities.

LightScribe disc labeling

Create LightScribe discs, it's easy using the built-in LightScribe template. AudioLabel works perfectly with any LightScribe-compatible drive and takes just a few clicks for your drawing to be transferred to a LightScribe disc. With LightScribe technology, the laser inside a LightScribe drive that records a CD or DVD is also used to record a high-quality laser design on the back of the disc. There is no printer involved, so you receive inkless labels that will not blur, wear or highlight.
