What is BackupChain?
BackupChain is a reliable and customizable PC and server backup software for Windows Server 2019/2016/2012/2008 and Windows 10-7, made specifically for IT professionals. You can adjust backups and use standard open backup file formats to back up your servers exactly the way you want, at a much lower price than other solutions. - Change detection: BackupChain checks and tracks changed blocks within files. The difference is compressed and stored as an increment or differential delta file
- Block-based incremental deltas can be used to store hundreds of file changes. This is especially useful when backing up databases and VMs
- Back up databases and live virtual machines. No need to stop or pause VMs. This applies to all VSS-compliant services on your system.
- Fast compression and handling of very large files (terabytes)
- BackupChain preserves and backs up long file and path names (up to 32,768 characters), with or without ZIP compression

Rotation of the facilitated unit
- Rotate the hard drives by simply changing them whenever you want. No configuration required.
- All information is stored in the file folder. Each rotated unit is independent. You only need one for a full restore

BackupChain creates optimized files from your data
BackupChain is the only tool that can send and receive fast incremental backups from other servers or PCs.
BackupChain utilizes innovative proprietary technology that allows you to efficiently handle millions of files, deep folder structures and track changes to large files. Delta compression is designed to back up very large files, such as databases and VM disks. Instead of copying entire disks at a time, only changes to the contents of the file need to be copied. BackupChain also works great with USB hard drives, combining low cost storage and fast processing.
