Caedium Exchange uses STEP, IGES, and widely supported faceted file formats to share geometry with other people and other programs.
Caedium Exchange uses STEP, IGES, and widely supported faceted file formats to share geometry with other people and other programs.
Import formats based on analytic geometry:
STEP (.stp)
IGES (.igs)
Import facet-based formats:
COLLADA (.dae, exported by Google SketchUp)
STL (.stl)
Alias / Wavefront (.obj)
If you create your geometry using Caedium (requires the Builder add-on), you can export the geometry in STEP, IGES, and STL formats to import into another program. To export in Alias/Wavefront format, try the Viz Export add-on.
With faceted geometry technology in combination with flexible technology, you can create hybrid models that blend faceted and analytical geometry for CFD simulations. Caedium Exchange is an add-on to Caedium.
