CAEfatigue VIBRATION is a second-generation technology developed from the outset, without relying on first-generation algorithms. Acting as a very efficient vertical application on top of a stress solver, this technology significantly reduces file size limitations and analysis execution times. CAEfatigue VIBRATION always aims to incorporate the latest available and accepted fatigue methods and techniques, such as new cycle counting algorithms, fatigue resolution methods, medium stress and other correction techniques, as well as a wide variety of fatigue material specifications.
As input, the process requires a voltage generated file (transfer function) from Optistruct, Nastran, Ansys, or Abaqus, as well as a set of analysis instructions provided as in the input control file. As output, various file formats can be generated, including Patran Neutral, CSV, and H3D. Included in the result set are fatigue dwelland damage, as well as various forms of response statistics currently not available in any solver today.

It is intended to function as a vertical application with all major stress solvers. Currently, the random response solver is being improved to include displacement, speed, acceleration, strength, and momentum outputs, which will be useful for tinnitus and tinnitus estimates, randomly induced contact analysis, and driving comfort. The test correlation (response verification is done according to measurements) is an important application of this technology, as well as cumulative RMS estimates.
