What is CaseViewer ?

CaseViewer is a digital microscope application designed to support histopathological diagnostic workflow and the bioscience microscope examination process.

Key New Features

MultiView

With this function, a maximum of nine slides from a single case with different colors can be viewed simultaneously on the main screen. This function is useful for routine pathology diagnoses and marker validation studies. Serial section slides can be automatically aligned and synchronized by a simple click.

Slide stack preview

Using this feature, serial section slides with different smears can be arranged and aligned in a slide stack. This function is useful for investigating the same structure of reddish tissue by different markers.

Case view

To facilitate the diagnostic process, a slide preview pane with all slides within a case is integrated. Any slide in the slide preview pane can be opened by dragging and dropping or double-clicking.

64-Bit Version

In addition to the 32-bit version, the 64-bit version is now available.

Key features for routine diagnostics

The tracking history

It is available in high resolution, remembering the history of the revised regions of the slide, step by step.

The Marker Accountant

This optional licensed software module improves workflow by counting relevant tissue structures faster and easier. It is a suitable solution for reddish cell count, immunopositive cell structures or tissue mitosis count.

Autofluorescent compensation

FFPE samples (included in paraffin fixed in formalin) contain fluorescent background signals due to the autofluorescent characteristic of formalin. The image compensation feature limits the visual appearance of the fluorescent spot in the background and highlights the fluorescent signals of the relevant protein.

DICOM snapshot export: The snapshot export function is also available in DICOM image format.

TMA Annotations

A new annotation can also be defined and maintained by CaseViewer for TMA cores. The new TMA annotation is available in different sizes and colors, also supports attaching comments to TMA graphical annotations.

Supports SlideDriver

For microscope-like navigation on digital slides.

Score guides

A new score table is available to support the diagnostic process.

Key features for research microscopy

Native TIFF Export:

Annotations, the current view image, and the entire slide image can be exported as a high-resolution TIFF image.

Exporting JPEG snapshots

Supports the most common JPEG image format at 300 DPI image resolutions.

Histogram

Shows the representation of the color distribution on a digital slide. This function helps optimize digital slides based on black, white and gamma values. The new histogram supports the presentation of 16-bit images.

DDIC

Digital contrast differential interference function. A contrast highlightfunction that can reveal small details of the fabric.

Z-stack pre-search media

The transition of layers and optical sections into confocal or Z-stack slides is untied.

Other new functions

Upload de slides

Enhanced slide upload ing makes it possible to upload slides or folders (containing slides) at a much faster speed (approx. 10x) than before.

Suggestion

Detailed description of the function appears automatically by navigating the mouse arrow above any function button.

Zoom limit Setting

In the Settings menu, the default zoom limit can be increased to make the digital zoom available for greater magnification.

Multi-core support

The CaseViewer application supports high operational performance of the multi-core processor. The number of processor cores to use to run the CaseViewer application more quickly and efficiently can be set in the Settings menu.

The multi-instance

Allows the operating system to be able to run multiple CaseViewer applications simultaneously on the same computer.
