What is Ci7860?

The Ci7860 bench top spectrophotometer is capable of creating the industry's most accurate digital color standards to provide color specifications to suppliers at all stages of production with the highest accuracy.

Color plays an important role in the transmission of the brand image. Whether the end product is a car, color-coded clothing, or children's toys, when you hit the food shelf or showroom, accurate and consistent colors will be crucial. By providing the most accurate digital color specifications possible for all suppliers, even in the most complex and numerous stages of production, brands can reduce the number of costly errors and rework, thereby reducing time to market.

A typical workflow has a lot of potential for color errors. One of the sources of errors is the changes in the production process itself, from the composition of raw materials to the environmental conditions in which the product is produced. Differences in color measurement procedures are the second source. The contract between tools - the accuracy and consistency with which different color measurement devices measure color scans - can also contribute to errors, especially in workflows where the first two sources of errors are carefully monitored. The Ci7860 is specifically designed to minimize the impact of the contract between tools on color change, providing more accurate and consistent color control.

The new Ci7860 has a tool contract specification that is 25% better than other spectrophotometers with spherical geometry. As a result, the Ci7860 allows brands to create the most accurate standards for primary colors and transmit them digitally instead of physical samples to supplier partners. Suppliers can use the Ci7860 or other Ci7x00 family devices to ensure that the sample and final product meet customers' stricter color tolerances.
