What is Code 39?

Code 39 barcodes are a common type of barcode, used in a variety of industries for inventory tracking, identification such as participant badges, and parts labeling for internal tracking. Standard Code 39 barcodes can include uppercase letters, numbers, and the punctuation marks $% + -. and /, and the space character. The full ASCII Code 39 barcodes can include uppercase and lowercase letters, punctuation marks, and 'control characters', represented by two-character sets of Code 39.
