What is CombiStats?

CombiStats is a Computer Software for Statistical Analysis of The Results of the Biological Dilution Assay:

CombiStats is a computer program for statistical analysis of data from biological dilution tests or power tests. The software was developed at EDQM and can perform calculations according to Chapter 5.3 of the European Pharmacopoeia (European Pharmacopoeia), from the 5th edition to the 9th edition. The following models are included:

•         Parallel line models;

•         Slope proportion models;

•         Probit models;

•         ED50 calculations;

•         Logistic curve models of 4 and 5 parameters;

•         Single-dose models.

And much more of the family of generalized linear models.

CombiStatsTM is intended to be used by people responsible for the analysis of test data, but whose primary training is not in statistics and who do not have access to specialized statisticians to assist them in the analysis. The software can be used in any situation where the analysis of dilution test data is required, but is primarily intended for use in the context of European Pharmacopoeia monographs.
