What is CRASH 4 ?

Import point clouds into your simulation.

Import point clouds directly into your CRASH 4 Virtual simulation environment. With ray tracking effects, you'll be asurprised at how realistic your visuals look like your cloud of dots reflecting on your vehicles!

Easy surface builder.

Easily convert your point cloud into a three-dimensional grid of terrain surface using the fast and intuitive Easy Surface Builder. Drive your vehicles at the top of your surface mesh and be confident to know that your simulation terrain came directly from on-site measurements. You can "drape" a surface mesh at points in any orientation. Create mesh building structures, trees, and other objects directly from your point cloud! You won't believe how easy it is!

Google Earth with terrain elevation.

In Virtual CRASH, Google Earth has been integrated into the user interface. Open the Google Earth window, find your location, and wash the region you want to import, and Virtual CRASH will do the rest. Your Google Earth antennas will be imported automatically at scale so you can start simulating right away.

Total station surface builder.

Whether you like recording your scenes with a full station or RTK GPS device, Virtual CRASH 4 will allow you to grab your points and build a terrain mesh for your simulation. It's incredibly easy!

Path animations.

With the amazing new path animation tool, you can create animated motion sequences in Virtual CRASH without using the simulation engine to control vehicle movement. Specify the main positions and orientations along the vehicle's trajectories, and Virtual CRASH will automatically interpolate for you. Animated objects can even interact with non-animated objects in your scene. The path animation feature opens up endless possibilities.

Smart HUD.

With the Smart Heads-Up Display, you can place your vehicle's speed and distance information anywhere within the playback window.

Adjustable sun position and volumetric lighting.

Virtual CRASH 4 allows you to connect lights to any object: headlights, taillights, street lights, emergency lights and more. You can even use images from light projection maps to adjust lighting patterns. Turn on volumetric lighting effects for the perfect look.

360-degree video and virtual reality.

Put the viewer in the middle of the action by creating immersive 3D environments with Virtual CRASH 4. Make 360-degree videos with or without stereoscopic virtual reality views with the mouse click.

Render stunning Ultra HD videos.

Create animations with incredible clarity in ultra-high definition. You can create videos and diagrams in 4K, 5K, 6K and 8K!

Diagrams, animations and vehicle dynamics and collision simulations.

Built on the Virtual CRASH 3 platform at its core, Virtual CRASH 4 is not only a diagramming and animation tool, but also a vehicle collision and dynamic simulation tool that has been enhanced for accident reconstructionists. The use of rigid body dynamics in its physics mechanism allows for an extremely fast workflow and, because calculations are "closed-form" equations of classical physics, its simulation solutions are extremely easy to correlate with standard accident reconstruction methods.

Construction environments.

Use the smart alignment tool to import your point cloud data, orthomosaics, and full station or RTK GPS data. Whether you use scanners or UAVs with photogrammetry, you can import your scene data into Virtual CRASH 4 and use it in your diagram, animation, or simulation. After your point cloud data is imported, use Easy Surface Builder to create your terrain mesh.

Third-party terrain meshes.  Don't want to use the Easy Surface Builder tool? Convert your laser scan or UAV data into a terrain mesh and import the dxf or 3ds file into Virtual CRASH 4. You can simulate your vehicles driving directly on top of your terrain mesh using true 3D physics.

Total Station measurements and RTK GPS.  Easily import your total station measurements and RTK GPS and incorporate them into your diagram and simulation.

Aerial photographs.  It only takes a few seconds to import and scale your aerial images, or you can use the built-in Google Earth tool.

Build complex roads.  Build your own custom 3-D roads and add custom ramps and crowns to road surfaces.

Orthographic views.  You can switch the camera from perspective to orthographic view to help perfect your road design and make amazing visuals.

Simulate impacts from motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians.

The multibody collision physics model is incredibly fast. Set up your motorcycle, bike, or pedestrian impact simulations in minutes and get immediate results.

Motorcycle collision simulations.  Sit the multibody model on your motorcycle and quickly and easily simulate your motorcycle collision case.

Simulations of collisions with bicycles.  As well as simulating motorcycle collisions, simulating bike collisions is extremely easy in Virtual CRASH 4.

Pedestrian impact simulations.  Use the optimization feature to allow your pedestrian to move through the kinematics in your simulation until the moment of impact. No more flops and flops when you start your simulation.

Tractor-trailer simulations.

You can chain as many trailers as you want in Virtual CRASH 4. It takes seconds to attach and adjust the tractor-trailer system. You can even study dynamic load offset.

Customize your vehicles.

Use a mesh constructed from a 3D laser scan, from a third-party website, or just modify a vehicle from the Virtual CRASH 4 database. Virtual CRASH 4 offers incredible flexibility and control over your vehicle models.

Import 3D scanning meshes. If you have the know-how to create your own vehicle meshes from laser scans or photogrammetry tools, you can import them into Virtual CRASH 4 and use them as a model of your vehicle. Just import them in dxf or 3ds format.

Use third-party vehicle meshes.  Maybe you have found the perfect vehicle for your case on a third party website. As long as you convert to dxf or 3ds format, you can use it in Virtual CRASH 4!

Modify.  Of course you can fully customize all vehicles in Virtual CRASH 4 to match the overall size of the vehicles in question. You can also modify the useless properties and positions of the wheels.

Add elements.  You can even add custom color patterns and other elements to your vehicles, such as siren lights, bumpers, and more. There really are no limits in Virtual CRASH 4!

Incredibly versatile. Create accident scenes, crime scene diagrams, and more. You can simulate car accidents, crashes and other setbacks. If you can find the 3D models of objects you need for your scene, you can import them into Virtual CRASH 4 and incorporate them into your physical simulation or diagram.
