Step-by-step instructions for Windows

- Make sure you are using the latest version of CSV2OFX. Download it from the CSV2OFX download page. Start CSV2OFX and select a CSV file.

- Review transactions before conversion, reassign columns if necessary. Make sure expenses are negative and deposits are positive.

- Set the account ID (number) and account type.

- Also check Currency, Final Balance, Bank ID and Agency ID.

- Choose the OFX destination to work best with your accounting software or use the "regular OFX" option.

- Click the 'Convert' button to create an OFX file.

- Confirm the name and location of the file.

- Now that the OFX file has been created, switch to Quickbooks Online and import the created OFX file. Look for 'Banking' and click on it. Click the 'Load transactions manually' button. In your accounting software, look for 'File Upload', 'Import an Extract', 'Upload a Bank File' or similar links to upload the created OFX file.

- Then click the 'Search' button to locate your OFX file. And click 'Next'.

- Then select an account or add a new one to import and click 'Next'.

- Select account type, choose Detail type (in this case, bank account and checking account). Click the "Save and close" and "Next" buttons.

- After transactions are imported, you can review, categorize them into the account, and add them to the registry.

- The beneficiary's name has not been assigned because this is the Vendor Registration that you must select in Quickbooks. This is not the actual beneficiary of the OFX file.

- Look for the "Import a bank statement to get started" link and click on it.

- In this case, the OFX format is recommended. You can also do the QFX, QBO, QIF, CSV formats.

- Click the 'Search' button and select the OFX file.

- Then click the 'Import' button.

- After transactions are imported, you can review and categorize them into the account.
