Step-by-step instructions for Windows

Review the transactions before the conversion, verify that the dates are correct, that the year is correct, that the expenses are negative, and that the payments to the account are positive.

Click the 'Charges/Withdrawals' button will be positive if the expenses are positive in the CSV file.

Set the INTU number. IDB to match your bank or use a default value. INTU. IDB sets the bank label shown during import. It has to be from the allowed bank. You can try to locate your bank, make sure the bank you choose is compatible with the type of account you are converting to. Keep the default value if your bank is not listed (3000-Wells Fargo or any bank allowed).

Set the Account ID (number) and Account Type. The account ID must have all Quickbooks digits. For multiple accounts, use a different account ID for each account.

The currency must be USD, even for non-USD accounts, for the US edition of Quickbooks. For the Canadian edition, you can use USD and CAD. And for the UK edition, the GBP currency must be set. If you have a value other than USD, you need to use another converter, for example, CSV2IIF converter, which has no currency and can import into the non-USD account. CSV2IIF converts to IIF format instead of QBO format.

You can also set Final Balance, Bank ID, Branch ID, if your accounting software requires it.

Click the 'Convert' button to create a QBO file.

Confirm the name and location of the file.

Now that the QBO file has been created, switch to Quickbooks and import the QBO file you created. Before importing a QBO file, make sure that the account you need to import does not have the yellow warning icon. Click on 'Lists' - 'Charts of Accounts'.

Because if you have the icon, it means that the account is linked online to the direct download. You need to disconnect first to import a QBO file.

To disconnect, right-click 'Edit Account'.

Then click on 'Bank feed settings' and 'Disable all online services' first if necessary. Make sure there is no yellow icon after the change. After disconnecting the account from the online services, you can import a QBO file.

To import a QBO file, select 'File' - 'Utilities' - 'Import' - 'Web Connect Files', select the QBO file created.

And select an existing account to import transactions. Check the bank label, Account type, Account number to select the correct account in Quickbooks. Then click the 'Continue' button.

Now your data is imported.

Click on the 'Transaction List' to review the transactions. Assign vendor records and expense/income accounts before adding transactions to the record.

The 'Transferred As' column shows the names of the beneficiaries of the QBO file.

And the "Beneficiary" column is empty. Shows vendor records. When you choose a Vendor Record, for the Beneficiary in the QBO file, QuickBooks will remember your choice for the next QBO import.

After the records and the vendor account are defined, you can add transactions to the record. The rule creation dialog box for renaming appears after use for the next time.
