Step-by-step instructions for Windows
Review transactions before conversion. Check that the dates are correct, that the correct year (Date), the amount, withdrawals and deposits are shown in the corresponding columns, the check number (Doc/Check#) is assigned. Reassign columns to QFX fields if necessary. Select the QFX destination to match your version of Quicken or your accounting software: regular QFX, Quicken 2018+, Quicken 2017, Quicken 2016, Quicken 2015, YNAB.
Expenses should be negative and payments to the account should be positive. Your credit card file may have positive expenses in the source file. Adjust the CSV mapping if necessary. Click the 'Charges/Withdrawals' button will be positive if the expenses are positive in the CSV file.
Set the date format, if applicable.
For Quicken, set INTU. IDB to match your bank or keep the default value. INTU. IDB sets the bank label shown during import. It has to be from the allowed bank. You can try to locate your bank, make sure the bank you choose is compatible with the type of account you are converting to. You should leave it blank if your bank is not listed, so that the default Wells Fargo Bank label is used.
Set the account ID (number) and Account Type to create QFX for the correct account. For multiple accounts, use a different account ID for each account.
You can also put the account ID (number) as part of Mapping: Outgoing Account ID.
When you create a mapping for a particular bank, you include the account ID and account type as part of the mapping. Therefore, when you change the Mapping, your CSV file will need to be mapped this way, and the Account Type and Account ID must also be used.
Click the 'Convert' button to create a QFX file.
Confirm the name and location of the file.
Import QFX file created into Quicken
Now that the QFX file has been created, switch to Quicken and import the created QFX file. Before importing a QFX file, back up your data. To import a QFX file, select 'File' - 'Import File' - 'Web Connect File (. QFX)', select the QFX file you created.

You need to disconnect the account before importing from the direct download to import QFX files to that account. For Quicken, there is an easy way to not touch that account, just import to the new account (called "IMPORT" in this case). And keep that account (called "Verification" in this case) intact.
For example, if you have another account. Click on 'Tools' - 'Add Account'.
If you have a checking account.
Click 'Advanced Setup'.
And you don't want to mess up your existing setup and connection. Click 'I want to enter my transactions manually'.
You can review the transactions here, as their separate and special location, and then select the transactions, click on the first one - hold down the Shift button - click on the last.
Then right-click - 'Move Transactions'.
Move the transactions to the 'Verification' account and click 'Ok'.

Convert again: click the 'Convert' button - create a new QFX file - import the sample.qfx file.
Select 'File' - 'Import File' - 'Web Connect File (. QFX)', select the QFX file you created. Do not change the account name. The second time you import the QFX file, with the same account ID, Quicken will see the established link and will only import the transactions into the 'IMPORT' account.
You can select transactions, move them to one of two accounts, one from your existing account. Click the first - hold down the Shift button - click the last. Then right-click - 'Move Transactions'.
