CX-One software allows users to create, configure, and program a set of devices, such as PLCs, HMIs, as well as motion control networks and systems using only one software package with a license and installation number. Thus, the complexity of the configuration is significantly reduced allowing the programming or configuration of automation systems with minimal training.
Structures and Assemblies
Create advanced programs using data blocks of identical data types (Sets) or different data types (Structures). Member symbols of the new Defined User Type can be accessed simply from the program. Symbol creation becomes faster because memory assignment and management is automatic and member symbols can be easily monitored in the Preview Window using only their name. Using Structures and Sets as In Out variables for a Function Block makes it possible to simplely pass many parameters in a uniform schema. This uniformity and clear hierarchy of data can help program readability during development and maintenance. For the most complex program data, even nested structures, structure sets, and structures with set elements are supported.
Timers and Counters
The special types of data for the TIMER (countdown) and COUNTER (countdown) symbols greatly simplify the use of timers/counters in laddered programs, as the sequences for resetting and checking them can access them only atarvés of their name. When used with the Auto-Assign feature, you can only set a TIMER or COUNTER symbol and never worry about where it is stored again. This means that maintenance is not required to resolve addresses when a program grows or when sequences are copied to a new project. Timer and counter sets are also supported.
Smart input
A new and smarter way to introduce programs with fewer key strokes, resulting in faster programming. Intuitive windows, symbol search and help with tooltips mean fewer bugs and grasls to fix during construction. When typing instructions or symbol names, a browser style "predictive text" shows you possible matches where you can click or can easily select. The symbol addresses for the next Inputs and Outputs are self-incremented to speed up the creation of the new program, and a special Copy/Paste function allows for quick duplication with sequential addresses. It is no longer necessary to manually make sequence connections as they are automatically entered, even for more complex operations such as parallel contacts (OR) or function block invocations. All this results in a smarter, faster and more intuitive way to program.
