What is CX-Supervisor?

Powerful machine visualization

The CX-Supervisor is intended for the design and operation of PC display and machine control. In addition to being easy to use for small supervision and control tasks, it also offers a wide capacity for designing the most sophisticated applications.

CX-Supervisor enhances powerful functions for a wide range of PC-based HMI requirements. Simple applications can be quickly created with the help of a large number of predefined functions and libraries and even very complex applications can be generated with a powerful programming language or VBScript. The CX-Supervisor has an extremely simple and intuitive handling and a high ease of use. Importing ActiveX components makes it possible to create flexible applications and extended functionality.

Good tuning

The data log reader has been completely rewritten to enable advanced features that allow condensed analysis of your computer's data. Simple zoom and scroll with the mouse and identification of the exact moment at which a problem occurred. Add trends of the horizontal and vertical points of the cursors and monitor the value of all traces at that time. You can even overlay previous data and new data to compare two weeks.

Graphic library

The graphics library has been significantly improved to include new "Smart Objects," which allows objects to include actions, animations, and associated points. Build your own library of reusable objects for your machines and use it repeatedly. A consistent Look & Feel is now possible between your NS panels and CX-Supervisor, as v3 includes the CX-Designer graphics library.

Image support for CX-Supervisor:

Support for JPEG and GIF is added, which makes it possible to select the image you want to use and allows you to make an image transparent. Metafiles can be converted to CX-Supervisor objects and modified to fit the application, or they can be added to the complete graphics library with animations and special actions.

Simulation

Integrated one-click simulation comes to CX-Supervisor after its high popularity with CX-One. This allows your application to be tested through a PLC simulation without having to resort to a Runtime Machine – all in a one-click operation. The CX-Supervisor development package also includes a test runtime, eliminating the need for a USB dongle to test your application.

CX-Supervisor Maintenance

Web-based remote maintenance allows a user to log in, remotely and securely, to view and edit points, monitor and recognize alarms and logs, and update the app – all with a conventional browser from anywhere in the world!

Other features of CX-Supervisor:

Support for FINS gateways allows you to directly access your devices using FINs Gateway 2003 (now included in CX-Supervisor) in cases where the features of FINS gateways best meet your communication needs. The new continuous monitoring of all your devices' connections quickly informs you of any problems. The .NET remote interface allows advanced users to develop their own application and interact with their CX-Supervisor application. And much more, including improved app analytics, a better-performing monitor, and new 16-million-color pallet control.
