What is DataDiff?

Reliable database data comparison and synchronization tool

  • Compare and synchronize database data
  • Map tables and columns, regardless of their names
  • Visualize the differences between compared tables
  • Save your comparison plan
  • Create custom comparison keys
  • Command-line utility included

Para bancos de dados Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Azure, MS Access, PostgreSQL, MySQL, InterBase, Firebird e SQLite.

Datanamic DataDiff is a powerful and easy-to-use utility for data comparison and synchronization. Compare data to selected tables in two databases, visualize differences, and publish changes quickly and securely. Flexible comparison and synchronization settings will allow you to set up a custom comparison key and select tables and fields for comparison and synchronization.

Datanamic DataDiff can be used for data migrations, data verification (corrupted), data auditing.

For each supported database, database-specific comparison and synchronization routines are used

Datanamic DataDiff can be used by working database administrators, developers, testers who need a quick, easy, and reliable way to compare and synchronize database data. Datanamic DataDiff is especially useful when your organization works with various database types/platforms. Note that the Standard edition cannot compare and synchronize between different database types (for example, Oracle and MS SQL). This functionality is available in the Professional edition.

Resources

Data comparison

Compare the selected tables.

Compare complete databases or a selection of tables.

Compare the selected fields.

You can define which fields to compare. The only thing is that this does not mean that you cannot synchronize deleted fields. You can always synchronize a field, even if it has not been included in the list of fields to compare.

Comparison between versions and synchronization.

Comparison and synchronization can occur between two different versions of the database.

Define custom comparison keys.

A comparison key is automatically selected if your tables contain a matching unique key. You can also define your own comparison key (any combination of the fields in this table).

Comparison options.

Control how data is compared. Ignore spaces, trim strings, match NULL to empty strings, case-insensitive comparison.

Quick comparison of large databases.

Optimized memory usage and comparison routines make Datanamic DataDiff one of the fastest products for large databases.

Supports binary data comparison.

Special routines ensure a quick comparison of binary data. The comparison results grid includes a special viewer for binary fields.

Data filtering with WHERE clauses.

You can define a where clause in each source and/or destination table

Compare fields with different data types.

The data is automatically converted so that it can be compared.

Mapping tables and columns.

Tables and columns are mapped automatically. You can manually map any table and column.

Export comparison results.

Export the comparison results to CSV files.

Data synchronization

Sync directly to the database or generate an update script.

Referential integrity support.

Datanamic DataDiff handles data dependencies and referential integrity during comparison and synchronization. To speed up synchronization, you have the option to turn off foreign keys during synchronization.

Partial synchronization.

Partial synchronization allows you to synchronize only the selected columns and/or only the selected records.

Synchronize binary data.

Synchronization for binary data is supported when you synchronize directly to the database.

Registry-level warnings for possible errors during synchronization.

Warnings appear in the comparison results grid when synchronization can lead to invalid data. This is the case when the target field, for example, requires a value, but the value that will be entered is a NULL value.

Delete fields for project-level synchronization.

In the project options dialog box, you can define a list of field names for those you don't want to sync. That way, you don't have to delete these fields manually. This is very useful for deleting columns used for auditing purposes.

SQL pre/post synchronization.

Custom SQL code that will run before and/or after the actual synchronization process.

Sync options.

Control how data is synchronized. Disable triggers, disable foreign keys, number of records per transaction.

Productivity

Quick overview of differences.

Easy-to-use navigation through color-coded data differences.

Automated comparison and synchronization.

A command-line utility is included to automate the data comparison and synchronization process.

Clear user interface.

Project-oriented.

Save your data comparison plan to a DataDiff project for later reuse.

Detection of metadata changes.

You do not need to reconfigure your complete comparison plan when the structure of a source or target table has changed. Datanamic DataDiff will do this for you automatically.

Database connectivity

Support for multiple databases.

  • Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c e 18c.
  • MySQL 4, 5, 6 e 8.
  • PostgreSQL 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
  • MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016 e 2017.
  • MS Access 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010 e 2013.
  • Microsoft SQL Azure.
  • Firebird 1.x, 2.xe 3.x.
  • InterBase 6, 7, 2009 and XE.
  • SQLite 3.0 e superior.

Comparison of versions between databases.

Comparison and synchronization between database versions are supported. for example, compare an MS SQL 2016 database with an MS SQL 2012 database. Note that the cross-database platform, for example, comparing an Oracle database with an MS SQL Server database is not supported in the Standard edition. You will need the Professional edition then.
