The ESE Extension for the Forensic Toolkit for SQLite, also known as Jetblue or EDB DBs, is the technology that underpins these databases, such as Windows Search and Cortana.
The ESE Extension for the Forensic Toolkit for SQLite works in conjunction with Forensic Browser on its ESE database scan, allowing investigators to use all the query and reporting features available in the Browser as part of their investigation.
Running the extension once installed is simple, just create a case file, don't open a SQLite database when prompted, and run the extension from the extensions menu.
