Once deployed, it can perform performance testing from L2 to L7 and help you get end-to-end visibility.

To complement hardware-accelerated physical test probes and hypervisor-enabled VNF software probes, EXFO introduced a software agent, the EXFO Verifier Agent (EVA) for non-hypervisor host devices. EVA has a range of qualities to benefit your business and help you maintain exceptional quality network experience and service.

Lightweight

The EXFO Verifier Agent (EVA) can run as a standalone application or in a Docker container, the solution consumes far fewer resources than a VNF that requires a hypervisor environment. For most small edge devices (vCPE, thin CPE), which do not have an abundance of CPU or memory available, this can be an obstacle. As a lightweight application, EVA can be deployed to any device where service assurance is required, without requiring significant demands from available resources.

Flexible

The application can be preloaded into the CPE before being sent to the client, greatly reducing the cost of deployment and making any CPE capable of supporting SLA-based services if necessary. Like all EXFO service assurance solutions, EVA offers a high level of flexibility to fully support operators in their transformation to virtualized networks, regardless of where they are in this transformation process.

Used as an active probe, the EXFO Verifier Agent (EVA) performs test sequences to measure end-to-end and segmented performance across all layers of the service. It provides an accurate view of the quality of service and experience offered.

EVA can combine multiple tests to accurately identify degradation and failures in the transport, service, infrastructure, and application layer, accelerating troubleshooting failures and isolating potential problems.
