What is Files.com ?

The Files.com makes it easy to transfer files to, from or within your Files site. The Files.com provides features for uploading, downloading, moving, and deleting files using the web interface.

Custom branding

Files.com allows you to easily customize your web interface to reflect your organization's brand, including replacing the Files.com logo with your company logo and choosing a color scheme that matches your business's appearance.

Users

Users are the most critical building block for creating an access hierarchy between your organization. You have access to unlimited users, so feel free to create a new one for every new person you need to access your site.

Groups

Groups are an ideal way to categorize users to simplify and speed up permission assignment. Instead of assigning permissions to one user at a time, you can use groups to conveniently assign the same permissions to multiple users at once.

Permissions

The Files.com simplifies the control of user access permissions for folders on your site. Access permissions can be dictated at the user or group level. Permissions can also be tiered between group and user settings to provide additional customization to meet the needs of the individual user.

Regardless of the method you choose to assign folder access permissions, your changes will automatically apply to affected users after you save the permission. This is especially useful when adding new folder permissions to all users in an existing group.

Notifications

The Files.com gives administrators the ability to have one or more users notified by email whenever they upload to a specific folder on their FTP site. Upload notifications are sent in batches, with email frequency options every five minutes, every fifteen minutes, per hour or daily.

Upload notification emails will include a list of files uploaded within the configured notification period, limited to the first 100. If you need a more comprehensive or detailed notification solution, consider using the Webhook API, perhaps in conjunction with the Zapier integration.

History

The Files.com maintains a comprehensive audit record of who, what, when, where, and how their files are modified. This makes it easy to accurately see who is reading, changing, or deleting your files.

Multiple-Region Storage

The Files.com has servers around the world and offers the option to configure the geographic region (and, by extension, the political jurisdiction) where your files will be stored. After the geographic region changes, new files are immediately stored in the newly selected region. Files that were stored before the region change will automatically migrate to the new region in a background process.
