What is FingerPrint?

• Spectrum: Raw spectra are directly compared and subsequently approved or disapproved. This is the simplest approach to set up. The spectrum of a reference sample is measured and can be used directly for approval or disapproval analysis of suspicious routine samples.
• Principal component analysis (PCA): ideal for positive material identification and multi-sample authentication
• Concentration: identification of material based on certified concentrations, without the need to measure all certified standards

Various purposes

FingerPrint can be used for several purposes:

• Goods receipt quality control: validate material as it arrives before it is used in production with a simple pass/fail report
• Process control: discover interruptions in material composition
• Final product control: validate the product before sending it with a simple pass/fail report
• Machine monitoring: monitor the wear and tear of heavy equipment and receive alerts before equipment breakdown
• Positive material identification and authentication: identify the origin of a product and identify counterfeit material from genuine material in combination with a simple pass/fail report
• Centralized control for multinationals: build a library centrally for use during production

Easy to use

FingerPrint analysis is performed without operator intervention and the data can be transmitted to a laboratory information management system (LIMS). The on-screen report is easy to interpret for regular operators, green indicates positive matches, red indicates incompatibilities. Principal component analysis (PCA) in combination with cluster analysis are powerful tools for automated fingerprint applications.
