Geo-Slope SIGMA/W- Stress Deformation Analysis

Geo-Slope SIGMA/W performs stress deformation (tensor deformation) analyses for civil and mining engineering and geotechnical purposes. SIGMA/W performs from simple elastic deformation analyses increasing its sophistication to soil deformation analyses and shear structures (plastic). It also performs interactive analyses on nonlinear material deformation models and combine them with infiltration analyses.

Several soil constitutive models allow the user to represent a wide variation of soils and material structures. In addition, SIGMA/W models the pressure generation of water pores and their dissipation as a response to external loads.

With SIGMA/W, you can analyze almost all stress strain problems that a user can encounter.

Features of Geo-Slope SIGMA/W:

ConstructiveSedence

The GeoStudio package analyzes a large set of models up to the most complex construction sequences. The analyses are added to the modeling tree forming a very familiar relationship in which each new analysis represents a part of the constructive sequence avoiding conflicts in analyses and results.

Coupled Consolidation

The formulation Coupled between stress analysis and water pore pressure can be used to model construction sequences involving replacement of filling material, excavation and soil/structure interaction.

Geo-Slope SIGMA/W Integration

Sigma/W analyses water pore stress and pressure can be used directly in SLOPE/W to create stress-based stability analysis.

Voltage redistribution

Stress redistribution analysis is used to conduct force reduction curves in stability analysis, model stress transfer into structures such as pile walls installed with fault curves, or calculate permanent deformations.
