What is IISADMPWD Replacement Tool?

The IISADMPWD Override Tool will protect websites and web applications by allowing changes to the Active Directory password when the passwords of the local or active directory account are invalid. It uses IIS anonymous authentication to allow users to access web applications in IIS, regardless of the status of the active directory or local password. Web Active Directory designed a replacement solution for the Microsoft IISADMPWD utility, because the legacy version of Microsoft's IISADMPWD does not support IIS and later.
