When designing the Indshine platform, we discussed the tastes of drone service providers, people in the infrastructure, mining and solar energy industries, and it was possible to understand the problems they face when utilizing the true power of drones and the output generated using drones.
Drawing on all his experiences and adding intuition, it was decided to focus on the things that matter most.
Drones are creating a noise
Drones have emerged as a powerful technology that is being adopted at a very rapid pace for a variety of commercial applications (such as aerial surveying, mapping, surveillance, etc.) in sectors such as Infrastructure, Mining, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Energy Utilities and many more.
The main reason for this rapid adoption is due to its power to bring soil measurements to our computer screen in a very quick and easy way. Images captured and processed from a normal camera (mounted on a drone) can be used for measurements in all 3 dimensions. This allows construction project managers and planners to understand all the important details from the comfort of the office on their computer screens.
So what's the problem?
Lack of effective visualization: One of the main problems is the heavy size of 2D and 3D maps generated using drone imagery and it is difficult for any software to support their visualization.
Gaining insights is not easy: the second problem is analyzing and working on these maps to get useful information such as estimating the volume of inventories in mining, calculating excavation area in infrastructure, analyzing defects in the solar industry, and more.
No collaboration: Most of them are desktop software, which doesn't allow for any form of collaboration. People share this data using Google Drive/Dropbox or even a USB device or hard drive. It is felt that this is not the correct way to share visual data such as orthophotos, heat maps and others.
Software installation required for everyone: Even if you shared a spelling photograph using Google Drive/Dropbox/One Drive, the recipient (often a customer for a drone service provider) had to install the supporting software on their computer. In addition, the vector files need to be uploaded separately, which is part of the analysis you performed on top of the orthophoto.
No real point: Suddenly, you realize that you and your client have a different version of the vector files. It may also happen that you have added another layer to this orthophoto. You can now upload the orthophoto and vector files again.
Lack of a structured repository: There is no software that stores 5TB of drone data and gives you the ability to access it at any time to view and work on it.

This is your battlefield. The mission is to empower customers to get the insights they want in the best possible way.

As you can imagine, without collaboration it would not be possible to make faster and more accurate decisions.
Community
Just like the vast open source community in software development, everyone is allowed to showcase their projects to anyone on the web, thus increasing the knowledge of everyone in the online drone community.
How Indshine platform works
Getting to know the Indshine platform and understanding the workflow is very simple.
Create a project: You can create a project in public or private mode. Public projects can be seen by all Indshine users. Private projects can be created by users where the data is sensitive and the owner wants to grant access to limited users.
Upload maps and templates: just drag and drop processed maps and templates onto the world map into any project and in a few minutes you'll be able to view them and start working on it. Currently, the supported data types are: Orthomosaic
Mark or import annotations: Use the markup tools (point, line, polygon) to mark features/problems/locations/defects in your maps and models. In fact, you can import annotations directly from vector files (.kml, .kmz) as well.
Add multiple layers: You can add multiple layers of orthomosaics, elevation models, heat maps, etc. in a single project.
Share with your team: Share the project with your team with edit or view access according to what you want them to do with it.
