What is JCreator?

JCreator is a powerful interactive development environment for Java technologies that provides more power at your fingertips than all ordinary publishers. What makes JCreator above the rest? Here's what you'll do in your work with JCreator:

Expand your power

Unlike most IDEs, JCreator has two types of tools that you can configure. The first type is the Java Development Kit tools, where you use jdk tools for compiling, debugging, and running the project. These tools are attachable to your project using the Project Settings dialog box. If no project is available, JCreator will run the default projects. But you can easily create your own tools for using JDK applications, such as the following:

• Compiler
• Ant Builder
• Interpreter
• Applet viewer
• Debugger

The second tool is more general and allows the extension of JCreator features to meet your needs, allowing you to call external functions and utilities. You can assign these general tools to the Key buttons located in the toolbar. These buttons display tool tips, which can be as follows:

• XML validator
• RMI Compiler
• Java code formatter
• Version control
• Batch files
