What is LightningChart?

The LightningChart SDK Software is an add-on to Visual Studio, and the fastest 2D and 3D data viewer for .NET in Windows Forms and WPF. Our graphics library is used in the software of the most demanding industries: science and research, engineering, economics and finance, commerce, medical, energy, space and defense. LightningChart is fully GPU-accelerated and performs optimized to deliver a huge amount of data (over a billion real-time data points).

Utilizing CPU and memory resources efficiently, LightningChart is developed and optimized for use in professional high-speed software that handles real-time data acquisition and representation. This provides unmatched performance for end applications.

LightningChart provides the following functions: XY graphics, 3D graphics, Polar Visualization, Smith Visualization, Maps, Signal Tools, and Volume Rendering. Thanks to LightningChart's flexible pricing framework, developers can choose the product options that best meet their needs: acquiring any function separately, or acquiring a more profitable package that combines multiple functions.

LightningChart Ultimate includes signal tools (SignalTools) for:

LightningChart provides the following signal tools:

Signal reader

The signal reader generates a real-time information flow, from reading signals in different formats: WAV (PCM), SID (Biosignal file), SSD (data format sampled by lightningchart ultimate demo application). Playback can be reset automatically with the loop option.

Audio input

Reads sampled data streams in real time from the sound card input (using, for example, a microphone) through DirectSound. Data can be sent to the graph, audio output, or its own data destination.

Signal generator

The signal generator is a component that generates multifunctional signals. Allows you to combine different types of waveforms into a single real-time output signal. Waveform components can be configured with an integrated or code-based user interface.

Spectrum Calculator

Converts data between time domain and frequency domain using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm. It is optimal for calculating the FFT conversion and the power spectrum of the sampled signal data.

Audio output

Allows real-time data flow playback through sound card output (using, for example, speakers) by DirectSound. Data can be obtained from the Signal Generator, Signal Player, Audio Input or other data source.
