What is MetaClean para Outlook?

An easy-to-use tool for clearing metadata in email attachments.

MetaClean for Outlook is a metadata removal tool that protects organizations from accidental information and metadata leaks. Involuntary leaks have the potential to shame or negatively impact a company's financial well-being.

MetaClean for Outlook integrates tightly with Outlook to ensure that all hidden metadata and sensitive information is removed from documents sent from an organization. It works in the background before sending an email, check all attachments in the email, and clear all embedded and custom properties of those attachments.

Download, Installation, and Initial Setup

Download MetaClean for Outlook.

Close Outlook if it is running.

Run installer: setup.exe

When the installation is complete, open Outlook and click the Add-ons tab.

Click the MetaClean Setup button.

Select the files to process.

Select whether to remove all metadata or apply a custom template.

Click the Save Changes button.

This setting applies to all emails that are sent and will be kept even when you restart Outlook.

You can disable the processing of attached files by clicking the MetaClean OFF option.

Using

Open Outlook and click new email.

Add file attachments where you want to remove metadata.

Fill in the necessary email information and click the Send button.

A window will appear indicating progress in processing the attached files.
