What is MobileMark Lite?

MobileMark Lite is an application-based benchmark (product, service, and business practice comparison process) that reflects business users' usage patterns in the areas of office productivity, media creation, and media consumption. Unlike benchmarks that only measure battery life, MobileMark 2012 Lite measures battery life and performance at the same time, showing how well a system design addresses the inherent compromises between performance and power management.

Features of MobileMark 2012 Lite v1.5:

Support for 32-bit and 64-bit Versions Windows 8 and Windows 7 Application-based Comparison: Reflects patterns of use of business users in the areas of office productivity and media creation, with real-world applications such as Microsoft® Office 2010. Unlike synthetic benchmarks, application benchmarking does not artificially drive components to peak capacity or attempt to deduce performance by using a static simulation of application behavior.

Battery life and performance: MobileMark 2012 Lite 1.5 spans battery life and performance at the same time.

Wireless connectivity:

The Office Productivity scenario sends traffic through the systems Wi-Fi adapter.

Screen brightness:

Display brightness higher than MobileMark 2007, as well as support for screen dimming during periods of user inactivity.

Easy-to-use assessment tool: Provides it business and government decision makers, retailers, media, channel buyers, consultants, component designers, hardware designers and manufacturers with an objective and easy-to-use tool to assess qualified notebook battery life across a wide range of activities.

New Workloads:

Users' updated workloads and datasets to more closely reflect users' expectations about battery life.

Simplified Setup and Execution: Built-in features such as the system configuration tool and heads-up display make the test setup easier than ever.

Improved Reports:

Full PDF format disclosure (FDR) reports, which are exportable and easy to read, include battery health and charge level planning.

Collaborative development: BAPCo benchmarks are the result of cooperative development between companies that represent the breadth of the it sector.

MobileMark 2012 Lite v1.5 system requirements:

– SO: Windows 7 ou Windows 8, 64 bits;

– CPU: dual core processor of 1.3GHz or higher;

– RAM: 3 GB system RAM;

– Free space: at least 30 gb of free space on the primary storage device;

– Graphics: graphic adapter compatible with DirectX 9;

– Resolution: display resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher;

– Optional Blu-ray player: required only for Blu-ray playback scenario.

Wireless router:

(required for Office Creativity and Media Creation and Consumption scenarios) BAPCo has tested and recommends the following wireless router models for use when running the Office Productivity or Media Creation and Consumption scenarios:

– Netgear N900 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router (WNDRD4500);

– Linksys E3200 High performance wireless dual band simultaneous symmetric router.
