Why use the Monitis REST API?

Monitis REST API makes it possible to access data and manage settings from your Monitis account without logging into the dashboard, allowing you to build your own app on top of the Monitis REST API. Suppose you have a website that is being monitored in Monitis and you want to see the monitoring data in your admin panel. You can write a small script to retrieve the monitoring data via Monitis REST API and show it in your admin panel. Monitis Rest API is also a good solution if you have a monitoring service and want to offer your users also existing monitors in Monitis.

Why use the Monitis REST API?

The Monitis REST API offers a unique ability to monitor anything that is changing during some period - parameters of a network object, page rank, ticket price, exchange rate, air temperature. Suppose you have some script that monitors, retrieves, and/or calculates the metrics that you want to monitor. Using the Monitis Custom Monitor API, you can create a custom monitor and program its script to upload monitoring data to the Monitis server. After that, you can access the monitoring data through the API and in the Monitis dashboard. In addition, you can define notification rules so that you are alerted if any metrics change.
