Movie Magic Screenwriter's Competitive Edge

  • NaviDoc lets you navigate the document using four different methods: Outline, Scenes, Annotations, and Markers. NaviDoc lets you see as many lines as an element you want, not just the first line or scene title of a scene, for example. This gives you the option to use NaviDoc index cards, if you prefer, while viewing the script.
  • Full Sketch: The Screenwriter's highlight feature is completely customizable, including font and color controls. You can create contours with multiple depths and customize them quickly. You can show or hide outline elements in NaviDoc and/or in the document, show or hide outline types by group or individual topics. You can MOVE sections of your document using the NaviDoc tab of the Outline using Drag and Drop.
  • Notes: The writer allows you to show or hide notes directly in the document. To see the Final Draft notes, you must click an icon first, but the note disappears the moment you start typing, which minimizes the value of having annotations in the document. Notes can be printed in place, separately, or on the script page.
  • Note categories: The screenwriter lets you create multiple categories of notes, each with its own text and background color. This allows writers to create different types of notes for different purposes. This also allows a reader or consultant to create their own type of note.
  • Customizable document windows: Although the writer has MANY tools available for writers to use, the view is fully designed. The document view can be anything from a blank window without any icons or rulers to having a full set of toolbars, icons, and other tools designed to make a writer's life easier.
  • The Most Complete Production Script Feature Set: The Screenwriter was originally created by a script supervisor and has the most comprehensive and flexible set of features available in any word processor, both for film and television. These include tagging, pages and scenes maintained, breakdown sheets, review controls, production lists, one-liners and more. In addition, these features are incorporated into the software itself.
  • Best Import Feature: Screenwriter has the smartest and most flexible import feature of any script program. It not only supports several different import (and export) formats, but you can copy a file from another word processing program - even a PDF - and paste it into Screenwriter. Screenwriter will format it correctly automatically.
