Storage

NetCrunch Platform  consists of several databases adapted according to the given purpose. It uses an internal SQL database for events, so no additional server is required. It also uses separate file-based storages for trends and the entire state of the program

Desktop and mobile console, graphical maps, dynamic visualizations, dashboards, scheduling reports and GrafCrunch. Everything you need to access the data and get an idea of the current state of the monitored system.

The atlas

Atlas is a central database that contains all your monitoring data. The Atlas visualization hierarchy organizes your data into a manageable database.

In other words, Atlas is all about organizing data. NetCrunch Platform lets you create custom visualizations based on filters and also more dynamically using dynamic folders. Dynamic folder group nodes by specific criteria. Then each group can be placed in a separate view or placed in a single view, depending on the number of elements.

Each view represents a group of nodes presented in several ways, such as a map, dashboard, or table specific to the monitoring data. It is customizable and the program chooses the best guide for the given view.

Monitoring Dependencies

When you monitor devices behind a router, switch, or bridge, you don't want to see the alert storm when the intermediate connection is interrupted. Thanks to dependencies, NetCrunch Platform can disable monitoring of nodes behind the failed device and also reduce false alerts caused by link failure. In addition, NetCrunch Platform monitors your internal processes to ensure everything is working well.

Graphic Maps with Widgets

Maps were built to present topology and network dependencies. After live data widgets have been added, they have become another type of dashboard, in which you can even present weather data.

NetCrunch Platform provides two views for a status overview. The first is more detailed, the second is aggregated.

Overview of us

For a smaller number of nodes, it shows the detailed view of the nodes of each service status per node.

Summary overview

For a larger number of nodes, the summary view aggregates the statuses into a more concise view per service.

Performance views

NetCrunch Platform provides a particular type of Atlas vision, called Performance Vision. You can display line charts, gauges, and bar charts with live data. You can create Performance View for a group of nodes by defining a filter for the nodes and then adding counters to be displayed (for example, "% processor utilization" for servers), or you can add each chart manually. In addition, you can group multiple trends into a single chart.

Performance Monitoring

Monitoring performance metrics is one of the key features of all monitoring systems. NetCrunch Platform stores all metrics collected in the Performance Trend database - fast, compressed, and file-based NoSQL database.

Wherever performance metrics are accessible, you can always examine the historical data of the specific counter and compare the values of multiple counters over time.

GrafCrunch

NetCrunch Platform comes with a fork of the grafana open source project - one of the best open source performance visualization projects. It greatly increases the possibilities of creating live performance dashboards and allows you to present data from multiple sources. You can also place data from multiple NetCrunch Platform servers in a single dashboard.
