Nextcloud Outlook Integration allows Nextcloud customers to easily and securely send files, folders, or upload links to others in Microsoft Outlook.

The add-in can replace attachments by automatically uploading files to Nextcloud and inserting a secure link in the email. It also makes it easy for users to provide others with a secure file upload link.

Secure Mailbox

The Outlook add-in for Nextcloud Outlook Integration Secure Sharing includes a secure mailbox feature. This feature protects the content (body) of the email from interception by providing the recipient with a notification that a new email has been received. The recipient needs to log in to their account (guest) to access the email and its attachments.

The body of the email is shown with the file attachments. Each email is a folder linked to the email notification.

In the screenshots below, the user sends the link and password to the recipient via email. The user can withdraw the password and send it through another channel. Alternatively, when a guest account is set up for the recipient, the Outlook add-in detects this and instead shares the message with the guest account and includes an internal link in the email. The recipient will have to log in to the guest account to access the email.

The Outlook add-in for Nextcloud secure sharing turns email attachments into Nextcloud links, either manually or automatically. It can insert upload links where the recipient of the email can upload files. Users can add passwords and expiration dates, the administrator can enforce setting them if needed.

New users can take advantage of the user-friendly configuration dialog and the Upload Files / Share Public Folder option is directly available in the 'message' tab.

The add-in can be configured to automatically upload all attachments that the user has added to an email from a configurable size, for example, all files larger than 200kb.
