What is the NGINX controller?

NGINX Controller is the NGINX control plan solution that manages the NGINX data plan. Built on a modular architecture, the NGINX Controller lets you manage the entire NGINX Plus lifecycle, whether deployed as a load balancer, API gateway, or proxy in a service fabric environment. The Load Balancing Module configures, validates, and troubleshoots your load balancers. The API Management Module lets you define, publish, protect, monitor, and analyze APIs. An upcoming Service Mesh Module will simplify how you move from common Ingress standards to containers to more complex service mesh architectures designed to optimize the management of tens, hundreds, or thousands of microservices.
