Most casting methods on the market can be simulated, such as gravity sand casting, gravity permanent mold, pressure casting, high pressure casting, pressure casting, lost wax method, tilt leakage and lost foam process. Commercial alloys can be simulated, such as cast and datile iron, steel, aluminum alloys, copper, zinc and magnesium alloys, super alloys, all kinds of mold and core materials on the market and exothermic materials, as well as chills.

Database calibration with real plant alloy information using the NovaCast Adaptive Thermal Analysis (ATAS) system. With this system, you can measure the cooling curves of the samples from their actual melts and simply use a calibration function that will update the NovaFlow & Solid database with the exact solidus, liquidus and density vs. temperature curve of your specific alloy.
Save temperature distribution after filling and load into a different mesh to solidify. For example, you can use a rough mesh to fill to get a reasonable estimate of the temperature distribution at the end of the fill, and then refine the mesh and load the saved temperature distribution into the new mesh model for accurate solidification results. Currently, this works automatically if specified before the simulation.

Microstructure - Average values of austenite, graphite and cementmentite for cast iron
Retraction forecast for cast irons taking into account graphite precipitation
High pressure casting - Simulates cold and hot chamber methods

Advanced leak functionality:
Adjustable gravity effect during porosity formation - alloys with strong skin formation tend to form porosity internally, as opposed to the upper surface (funnel pipe). This property can be adjusted/calibrated in NovaFlow & Solid.
Gas flow calculation - ability to calculate and show the effect of gas (in the actual flow pattern, not just as a criterion) on mold heating and construction pressure, providing a true multiphase flow solution.
Built-in method calculation - Two expert systems that will calculate the size, position and feed of the feeder according to standard rules are incorporated into the software to help the smelter find an initial design calculation.
Number of productive tools for the best understandable visualization of results, such as automatic film generation and automatic report generator.
