What is PhotoModeler?

PhotoModeler is a Windows software package for measuring and modeling real-world objects and scenes through the use of photographs. Developed by Eos Systems Inc, The PhotoModeler is the world leader in its class.

The software is a photogrammetry program or, technically, a short-lived analytical converged photogrammetry software system – but don't worry about these technical terms. You don't need to be a photographer and mathematician to use this software, as this software already brings you the powerful photogrammetry tools you need in a simple and easy-to-use Windows environment.

Use your camera for measurements and modeling

Harness the power of photogrammetry with PhotoModeler

Accurate and accessible modeling - Measurement and Scanning

The software extracts measurements and models of photographs taken with an ordinary camera. An economical way to measure, survey, 3D scanning and reality capture in 2D and 3D

Why use PhotoModeler?

Choose PhotoModeler for your next 3D measurement, diagramming, 3D modeling, or scanning task, and:

  • Save money and time
  • Create complete projects that would be impossible for other methods

Professionals in many industries rely on PhotoModeler as an indispensable tool for critical measurement and modeling work. PhotoModeler uses a standard digital camera to capture accurate 3D data using photogrammetry technology, making it a solution for anyone who can use this to achieve good results.

How it works

Step One: Take photos from different angles

Step two: Upload the images to the software

Third step: Choose the desired method that will appear on the screen

  • Manual method: Combine features in common between photos manually
  • Segmentation method: Automatically marks features and quickly models
  • DSM method: Generates dense dots from overlapping photos
  • UAV method: Generates dense spots and surfaces of overlapping aerial photos

Last step: Review, measurement and export

System requirements:

Windows 7 or higher 64bits

If your Windows is 32bits, the old version of PhotoModeler will be compatible, but you'll need to contact the producer to get this version

There is a little compatibility with Mac and Linux, but its functions will be limited because the software does not have its version finished for these operating systems
