Introducing the SpiderOak Trusted Application Platform
Create your own apps without knowledge
For years, customers have been asking us how they can build their own No Knowledge software
Introducing SpiderOak's trusted application platform, the Platform.
Now users can increase their HTML 5 skills with the same systems and methodology we used to develop our own CrossClave and Semaphor products to build their own end-to-end encrypted private blockchain applications across multiple platforms.

SpiderOak Trusted Application Platform
The Trusted Application Platform is a complete end-to-end solution for building trusted cross-platform software leveraging the No-Knowledge Blockchain. It's made up of several different components that come together to make it easy to ship software that you and your customers can trust.

Addressing system authority, identity, confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Perhaps the biggest challenges facing computer security today are managing and enforcing the need to know, the trust around data and processes.
The IT infrastructure of traditional systems tasks protects authority, identity, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of system resources and information, but the news is rife with evidence that this approach is not keeping up with attacks or attackers, as the failure of a single point of trust can compromise an entire system.
A unique industry approach to secure application development
Creating reliable cross-platform software
SpiderOak approaches the problem from a completely different perspective, through the careful application of blockchain technology. By applying the distributed ledger, not only is it easy to manage access to information, but it also drastically limits the number of things an attacker can take advantage of to breach your defenses.
The Platform reduces the risk associated with trust breaches through key-based identity and authority management, a powerful policy mechanism to enforce clearing controls digitally, and, through Distributed Ledger Technology, to manage access to information.
With Platform, it's easy to manage access to information, limit attack vectors, and reduce data leakage in the top-level application.
End-to-end encrypted applications on a private Blockchain
The features of the Platform
Distributed Ledger Technology / Private Blockchain
The platform uses DLT with public key cryptography to produce a platform for creating and managing collaborative enclaves.
Powerful policy engine
All transactions in the ledger are validated by a flexible policy mechanism. This mechanism, programmed in an extensible policy language, provides rules and functions within the system.
Public key-based identity
Identity is managed within the system by a single public/private key pair for each user within the system. Users use the same set of account keys in any SpiderOak service deployment, regardless of location.
Cryptographic vaulting
Through the application of distributed ledger and public key-based identity, terminals can secretly negotiate a shared key that is known only to the terminals that negotiated it and is used to encrypt all data.
