The Bridge plugin runs the 32-bit plug-ins inside a secure memory space, so an insecure write plug-in can't crash Photoshop.
Bridge Plugin Overview
There are hundreds of 32-bit photoshop plugins that have never been updated to 64-bit Adobe Photoshop. Now you can start using them again.
Safe space to run your 32-bit plug-ins
The Bridge plugin runs the 32-bit plug-ins inside a secure memory space, so an insecure write plug-in can't crash Photoshop. Thanks to Plugin Bridge, it's actually much safer to run the 32-bit plugins inside 64-bit Photoshop than it was inside 32-bit Photoshop.
How it works
The Bridge Plugin is installed as a 64-bit filter inside 64-bit Adobe Photoshop
When the filter runs, it creates 32-bit secure memory space to prevent some rogue plugins from affecting Photoshop.
In the Bridge Plugin, add any 32-bit installed plugins to the list. Plugins don't have to be in any specific folder, the Bridge Plugin can use where they are currently installed on your computer.
Now, just launch any of the added plugins from within the plug-in bridge list. When you process the image in the plug-in, it will send it back to Photoshop like any other plug-in. It's that simple!
