What is Pocket PC CAD Viewer?

Pocket PC CAD Viewer is a high-quality viewer of AutoCAD DWG and DXF files designed to meet pocket PC needs.

Pocket PC runs a variant of the Windows CE operating system. It has many of the capabilities of contemporary portable PCs, and thousands of Pocket PC applications are currently available, many of which are free. Some of these devices, equipped with Microsoft Windows Mobile Phone Edition, can also function as a mobile phone. Pocket PCs can also be used with many other devices, such as GPS receivers or barcode readers.

New version:

In October 2005 Microsoft released a new version of the operating system that equips Pocket PCs, Windows Mobile 5.0. The main novelty is the persistent memory (flash), which is a new type of RAM memory, that even if the battery is fully discharged the data contained in the RAM is not lost.

The Microsoft category is divided into Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone Edition, which is nothing more than a Pocket PC with a mobile phone (in Brazil, or mobile phone in Portugal) integrated.

To be considered a Pocket PC you have to have

·          Run a Microsoft Windows Mobile, PocketPC edition version;

·          Come with a predefined set of applications pre-installed on the ROM;

·          Include a touchscreen;

·          Include directional keys or a touchpad;

·          Include a set of hotkeys;

·          They can be ARM, XScale, MIPS, or SH3;

·          Later versions of Pocket PC 2002, they will only use ARM processors;
