PolyTrans-for-3dsMax is one of the most widely used and universally used core technologies deeply integrated with 3ds Max, enabling native conversion between all major CAD/MCAD, DCC/3D, Skinning/Skeleton/Bones and VisSim file formats with full professional fidelity.
Best Practices for Providing and Converting MCAD Data
PolyTrans-for-3dsMax is one of the most used and universally used core technologies deeply integrated with 3ds Max, which allows native conversion between all major CAD/MCAD, DCC/3D Animation, Skinning/Skeleton/Bones and VisSim full-fidelity file formats (some conversion pipelines are for import or export only). It has been in constant daily use for over 20 years by many tens of thousands of the world's best-known companies, from ILM to Disney, from Boeing to BMW and almost all of the major companies mentioned here. Therefore, this is an extremely stable and well refined conversion software.
The industry standard pipeline for max maya 3ds two-way conversions
An essential aspect of Okino software are the native PolyTrans-for-3dsMax and PolyTrans-for-Maya plug-in systems. These modules allow 3ds Max and Maya to directly import/export all Okino-compatible file formats from within their respective user interfaces. Other common uses of plug-in systems are for bidirectional conversions of 3ds-Max / Maya (through the .bdf Okino file format), import and optimization of large CAD datasets of all major packages and 3D CAD file formats, import/export for all VR/AR 3D file formats and games (including mesh and skeleton conversions with skins), OpenFlight VisSim conversions and, of course, two-way conversions to most other 3D file formats and software packages (from LightWave to CINEMA 4D, Maya, COLLADA, FBX, COLLADA, VRML2/X3D, SketchUp and dozens of others).
System requirements
Windows 10, 8, 7 x64 (64-bit)
You'll need to have 'Administrator' rights during installation (or, better yet, right-click the installer and choose 'Run as administrator'). You do not necessarily need administrator rights to run the software.
Preferably 16 GB of memory. 32 GB is more than enough for 99% of all CAD conversions.
For Mac OS X, any good Microsoft Windows emulator.
